About the role
Harris Farm Markets, a growing family-owned Australian fresh food retail business, is looking for a Shop Assistant. You will help customers find what they need, keep the store fresh and abundant, and join a team that loves good food and good people. No experience is needed, as training is provided.
Key responsibilities
- Filling and rotating stock to keep displays full, fresh and appealing
- Keeping the back of house organised, clean and well managed
- Monitoring stock quality, dates and rotation (FIFO)
- Maintaining accurate shelf management
- Providing helpful, on-the-floor customer service
- Maintaining food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards
- Supporting the team so daily operations run smoothly
Required profile
- A friendly attitude, pride in your work and a genuine love of fresh food
- Previous experience in a fresh food retail business
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Physically capable of manual handling and standing on your feet
- Team player with a strong work ethic
- Flexible availability across a 7-day roster, including AM and PM shifts
