Shipping & Receiving Specialist

About the role

Boeing Distribution Australia, a subsidiary of The Boeing Company providing aftermarket supply-chain management for the aerospace and defence industries, is recruiting multiple Shipping & Receiving Specialists to work 100% onsite in Tullamarine, Australia. The role supports receipt, dispatch and related activities at the warehouse facility.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, handle, package and ship inventory, and issue it from the warehouse
• Lift and carry cartons up to 35 lbs, and manage heavier ones using available safety tools
• Identify and verify part numbers and place parts in the correct location
• Pick and fill orders using a laptop or hand scanner, and print and batch pick tickets
• Prepare warehouse pull and return, and load and offload material to and from delivery trucks
• Reconcile, enter information into the ERP system and prepare for counting
• Match paperwork to boxes and prepare orders for billing and shipping
• Relocate items between office and warehouse as required

Required profile

• 2+ years of related work experience
• Previous experience in receipt and dispatch of goods and services
• Experience operating material handling equipment
• Ability to lift and carry cartons up to 35 lbs with safety tools, and to stand and walk on cement floors for long periods
• Detailed, efficient and able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
• Commitment to WHS policies and procedures
• Full, unrestricted working rights

Required skills

• Preferred: valid driver's licence
• Preferred: basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Preferred: international shipping and dangerous goods warehouse experience
• Preferred: forklift licence
