Shipping & Receiving Specialist

About the role

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking a motivated Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join the P8‑A Poseidon team at RAAF Base Edinburgh. The role supports warehousing operations for the Australian Defence Force, ensuring efficient receipt, dispatch and inventory control.

Key responsibilities

• Process inventory management system transactions to support project activities.
• Manage and control inventory accounts, including serviceable, repairable, quarantine and disposal items.
• Handle receipt, storage, packaging, shipping and issue of inventory at the project warehouse.
• Assist internal and external stakeholders with logistics requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in supply support roles and material management.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain NV1 security clearance.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Willingness to develop expertise in computerized inventory systems.

Required skills

• Forklift operation (license preferred).
• Experience with Oracle E‑Business Suite or similar ERP systems.
• Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to operate manual handling equipment.
