Shift Team Leader

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Shift Team Leader to oversee the 24‑hour operations of the Kwinana Energy Recovery waste‑to‑energy facility. You will lead the operations team, ensure safe and efficient plant performance, and act as deputy to the Operations Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing operations team, fostering a culture of safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
• Mentor staff, manage performance, and ensure adequate resources are available for all functions.
• Guarantee compliance with contractual, health, safety and environmental obligations.
• Support asset management and maintenance activities to meet agreed timelines.
• Collaborate with shift teams to create and implement strategic operational plans.

Required profile

• Valid Boiler and Steam Turbine Generator (STG) operating ticket.
• Previous experience in renewable energy or waste‑management sectors (highly desirable).
• At least 5 years of thermal energy operations or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience leading operational teams.
• Strong to advanced Excel skills.
