Settlement Analyst - Business Banking

About the role

Macquarie Group is looking for an entry-level Settlement Analyst to join its Collateral Management team in Business Banking, based in Melbourne. The role facilitates the settlement of corporate, commercial and retail lending transactions, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and a good client experience. It suits someone eager to learn within a fast-paced, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the settlement of corporate, commercial and retail lending transactions
• Interpret information from various sources so that deals match their transactional purpose and regulatory requirements
• Mitigate risks before settlement funds are disbursed
• Apply internal lending processes to transactions of varying complexity
• Update and interpret operational systems
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and support business improvement initiatives

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce or a business-related area
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a process-driven environment
• Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong client focus and communication skills
