ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Consultant

About the role

Accenture is looking for an experienced ServiceNow HAM / CMDB Consultant to lead the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing management of Hardware Asset Management, Configuration Management Database, Discovery, and related capabilities within a ServiceNow environment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and continuously improve ServiceNow HAM, CMDB, and Discovery modules.
• Configure discovery schedules and patterns to ensure accurate CI population.
• Maintain data quality, governance, and compliance of the CMDB.
• Manage hardware assets throughout their lifecycle, from procurement to retirement.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to classify and maintain CIs and service relationships.
• Perform CMDB audits, reconciliation, and data quality reviews, recommending corrective actions.
• Develop dashboards, reporting, and metrics for asset management and discovery performance.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of ITIL processes and ServiceNow best practices, especially ITAM and ITOM.
• Current Australian Government security clearance (Baseline, NV1 or higher).
• ITIL 4 Foundation certification (mandatory or preferred depending on project).

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM), CMDB, Discovery, and Configuration Management.
• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in ITAM, ITOM, or Discovery.
• Experience with ServiceNow HAM Pro, ITAM, ITOM, or Discovery implementations.
• Knowledge of cloud, server, network, and infrastructure environments.
