Service Technician – Repairs & Calibration

About the role

Allied is seeking a motivated Service Technician to join its Knoxfield workshop. You will deliver high‑quality repairs, calibrations and technical support for a range of plumbing press tools, plastic welding equipment and custom tooling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform timely repairs and calibrations on a variety of tools and equipment.
• Use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to troubleshoot and identify faults.
• Disassemble, re‑assemble and replace components as required.
• Record service jobs and repairs in the company’s tracking system.
• Provide reliable technical assistance to colleagues and customers.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Understanding of OH&S practices and compliance.

Required skills

• Mechanical aptitude and experience with tool dismantling/re‑assembly.
• Use of diagnostic tools for fault finding.
• Electrical qualifications or fabricating skills (highly regarded).
• Knowledge of CAD software for 2D/3D technical drawings (highly regarded).
