Service Team Manager – HVAC & Chillers (Brisbane Relocation)

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Service Team Manager to lead its Brisbane Chiller Services team. This senior position will oversee day‑to‑day service delivery, manage a team of technicians and apprentices, and drive operational excellence across Queensland.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire a high‑performing service team to meet operational and financial targets.
• Manage service delivery performance, maintenance schedules, contract execution and budget outcomes.
• Identify growth and profitability opportunities within customer accounts.
• Oversee backlog management, estimating, contract renewals and onboarding processes.
• Plan workforce, forecast labour needs and allocate materials efficiently.
• Develop technicians through coaching, mentoring, training and performance management.
• Partner directly with customers, attend site visits and ensure exceptional service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in the HVAC, refrigeration or chiller industry.
• Strong technical understanding of chiller systems; controls experience is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and commercial acumen.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining safety, quality and customer focus.
