Service Manager - Construction Equipment

About the role

Komatsu Australia is seeking a Service Manager to lead its Gladstone Service Department. This is a key operational leadership role covering people, safety, service delivery and the commercial performance of a busy operation spanning workshop, field and embedded services. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the role manages budgets, profitability, WIP, quoting and warranty processes and builds long-term customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgets, profitability, WIP, quoting and warranty processes
• Build long-term customer relationships and visit key customers across the region to identify new service growth opportunities
• Oversee WIP, quotations, warranty and service productivity
• Coach leaders and drive continuous improvement

Required profile

• Experienced Service Manager or operational leader with a strong understanding of service delivery in a dealership, OEM or equipment-focused business
• Experience in mining, heavy equipment, automotive or agricultural machinery environments considered
• Proven people leadership, a strong safety mindset and the ability to manage budgets, costs, revenue and profitability
• Leadership and business management position, not hands-on technical; a trade qualification is not essential
