SEO Specialist – Own Strategy & Execution

About the role

You will own the SEO strategy and execution for a portfolio of Australian client accounts. This position sits at the crossroads of technical SEO, content planning, and client communication, working closely with our Google Ads, web development, and content teams. From day one you will have real scope and ownership of results.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive technical audits (crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, page speed, schema, canonicals, etc.) and prioritize fixes based on ranking impact.
• Collaborate with web developers to implement and verify technical solutions.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 data, reacting to algorithm updates and traffic shifts.
• Develop keyword strategies that match search intent and create detailed content briefs.
• Optimise on‑page elements (title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking) to boost E‑E‑A‑T signals.
• Identify content gaps and produce actionable content plans for clients.
• Assess backlink profiles with SEMrush or Ahrefs, remove toxic links, and design quality link‑building campaigns.
• Serve as the primary SEO contact, delivering plain‑language monthly reports and leading strategy sessions.
• Work with the Google Ads team to align keyword architecture and avoid cannibalisation.

Required profile

• 2+ years of dedicated SEO experience managing multiple client accounts.
• Strong analytical mindset able to diagnose technical issues without step‑by‑step guidance.
• Excellent written communication skills for explaining complex SEO concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams (ads, development, content).
