SEO Lead Editor

About the role

We are seeking an SEO Lead Editor to drive editorial excellence and SEO performance for a high‑traffic gaming hub. This role blends hands‑on editing, strategic leadership, and AI‑assisted content creation in a fast‑scaling digital publishing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement, and continuously improve editorial guidelines across all content verticals.
• Lead quality‑control processes, review content, track performance issues, and document recurring challenges.
• Develop and enforce standards for AI‑generated content to meet editorial, SEO, and UX criteria.
• Mentor senior editors, provide structured feedback, and support career development.
• Review and refine content structure, tone, design, and style to maximize engagement and search performance.
• Oversee SEO optimization, ensuring headlines and articles align with organic visibility best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement of editorial workflows using tools such as Google Docs and performance‑tracking systems.
• Lead initiatives for content innovation, including Google News strategies to boost traffic and revenue.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an editorial role with responsibility for content quality and publishing standards.
• Experience leading or managing editorial teams, with a focus on mentorship and development.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles applied to editorial content.
• Experience overseeing AI‑assisted content creation workflows and editorial QA processes.
• Exceptional English writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Outstanding attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies and gaps.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple editorial priorities.
