SEO & GEO Executive / Assistant

About the role

We are looking for an SEO & GEO Executive or Assistant to join our performance team. Reporting to the SEO & GEO Lead, you will support some of Australia’s most exciting brands by improving organic visibility and experimenting with generative search technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating on‑page optimisation recommendations (meta, headings, schema, internal links).
• Support technical SEO audits and execute resulting to‑do lists.
• Conduct keyword and prompt‑intent research and develop content briefs for SEO and GEO outcomes.
• Collaborate with paid search and earned media teams to align strategies.
• Test, measure and improve client visibility across large language models (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini) and document findings.
• Build monthly client reports using data from GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs and other tools.
• Identify and implement local SEO & GEO opportunities, maintaining structured data and local signals.
• Continuously learn through the Lead, team and internal training programs.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably in an agency environment.
• Solid understanding of technical SEO fundamentals (crawling, indexation, meta tags, schema, internal linking).
• Curiosity about GEO and generative search, with any practical exposure considered a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and clear, concise writing ability.
