SEO Digital Project Manager

About the role

Optweb Digital, a Global Search Awards finalist digital marketing agency, is looking for an organised, ambitious Digital Project Manager with strong SEO know-how to join its Melbourne team. The role combines SEO strategy and campaign management with client relationship work, and suits someone who can turn complex SEO concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and optimise SEO campaigns aligned with client business objectives
• Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis and identify opportunities for organic growth
• Optimise on-page elements such as content, metadata, headings, internal linking and URL structures
• Address technical SEO issues including indexing, crawling, site speed and performance
• Collaborate with content writers on SEO-focused content strategies
• Implement local SEO, including Google Business Profile optimisation and location-based keywords
• Stay informed on emerging trends such as GEO, AEO and AI-powered search
• Work with WordPress and show basic HTML, CSS and Schema.org knowledge
• Monitor rankings, organic traffic, conversions and campaign performance, and report on them

Required profile

• Hands-on SEO and keyword research experience, especially with SE Ranking and Semrush
• Digital marketing, SEO and paid ads (Google Ads) experience in an agency or similar environment
• Comfortable as the main point of contact for clients and managing their expectations
• Able to spot risks early and coordinate designers, content creators and marketing specialists
• Enjoys meeting deadlines and keeping everyone in the loop
