Senior Water Infrastructure Engineer – relocate to Northern Queensland

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced senior engineer to join its Water Infrastructure team in Townsville or Rockhampton, Queensland. You will work on major water and wastewater projects, delivering design and construction solutions for pipelines, pump stations, reservoirs and treatment plants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery from business development through design to construction, ensuring commercial and budget compliance.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams, guaranteeing quality and timely outcomes.
• Mentor junior engineers and build strong client relationships across public and private sectors.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (engineering degree) – RPEQ or CPEng highly regarded.
• Proven experience managing complex water infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and develop new client relationships.
