Senior VCE Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The Senior Mathematics Teacher will join the Academic Staff at the Plenty Campus, delivering VCE Mathematics Methods and Specialist Mathematics to senior students. This full‑time, ongoing position starts in January 2027 and contributes to the school’s holistic education and character‑building culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver purposeful, research‑informed lessons using the school’s Instructional Model.
• Embed universal practices such as clear learning intentions, formative assessment and student goal setting.
• Create calm, inclusive classrooms that foster curiosity, collaboration and high expectations.
• Monitor and support student learning and wellbeing through data, feedback and professional judgement.
• Contribute to house life, co‑curricular programs and wider campus initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with relevant postgraduate studies in Education, Curriculum or Pedagogy.
• Demonstrated success teaching senior‑year mathematics, including VCE Methods and Specialist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for engagement with students, staff, parents and community partners.
• Commitment to child safety, inclusive practice and a valid VIT registration.
