Senior Technician – Asset Management

About the role

The Senior Technician – Asset Management is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of physical and digital assets across the organisation. You will ensure assets are tracked, maintained, compliant and disposed of in line with strategic and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide broad‑scale IT Asset Management services, including user support, lifecycle planning, provisioning and logistics.
• Support process provisioning requests for new hires, replacements and refreshes.
• Update CIT Asset Management CMDB lite tables and employee records.
• Validate desktop engineering provisioning guides and maintain procurement master data.
• Plan and execute end‑of‑life client equipment refreshes.
• Manage inventory processes, PC repairs, accessory requests and configuration issues.
• Handle mobile services requests, usage tracking and incident resolution.
• Perform software management tasks such as service requests, licensing audits and license reclamation.
• Execute forecasting and capacity management for end‑user technology.

Required profile

• Baseline Security Clearance (NV1 preferred).
• Strong understanding of asset tracking systems.
• Experience in Australian Government or other regulated environments is preferred.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence (automatic).
