Senior Tax Technology Analyst – Transformation

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a Senior Tax Technology Analyst to help shape the future of tax through data, automation and AI. You will work within the Tax & Legal Transformation and Technology team, designing and delivering digital solutions that streamline compliance and unlock new insights for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and enhance the tax analytics and processing platform, including APIs and backend data workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across SQL.NET services, calculation logic, stored procedures and data processing layers.
• Refactor inefficient .NET‑to‑SQL interfaces to improve performance and scalability.
• Analyse large relational data models and stored procedures to identify and fix performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with software, data and AI teams to evolve the rules engine and backend architecture.
• Support modernisation and simplification of legacy platform components, including data model improvements.
• Identify opportunities to apply emerging data‑engineering and AI capabilities.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience solving complex engineering problems in SQL and backend systems.
• Strong background in enterprise‑scale data processing and platform modernisation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, high‑impact environment.
