About the role

Our client, a leading accounting firm in Canberra, is looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join its Tax Consulting Division. You will work with a diverse portfolio of individuals, companies, not‑for‑profit organisations and government agencies, delivering high‑quality tax advice and building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complex tax advice letters and reports for a range of clients.
• Manage and nurture key client relationships.
• Provide expert advice on Australian and international tax legislation.
• Conduct in‑depth tax research and analysis.
• Collaborate with tax consulting and business services teams to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Support business development and marketing initiatives.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Law.
• CA, CPA or CTA designation.
• Proven experience in tax consulting or a senior technical tax role.
• Strong Australian tax technical expertise.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated client relationship management ability.
• Business development mindset.
