Senior Tax Consultant / Assistant Manager – Tax Services

About the role

William Buck is seeking a Senior Tax Consultant or Assistant Manager to join its Tax Services team in Adelaide. You will work with mid‑market clients across diverse industries, delivering both advisory and compliance tax solutions while developing your technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring accurate and timely tax compliance.
• Prepare income tax returns, FBT returns and other statutory obligations.
• Perform tax effect accounting calculations.
• Research, draft and deliver tax advice to clients.
• Coach and guide junior team members in day‑to‑day tasks.
• Contribute to internal technical training sessions for the Tax Services division.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Progression towards or completion of CA, CPA, CTA, or MTax qualifications.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big‑Four or mid‑tier tax division.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a willingness to learn.
