Senior Tax Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team, supporting tax compliance, advisory and governance across the NRMA Group. You will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager and engage with a diverse range of travel, tourism and membership services.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Senior Tax Manager to deliver timely, practical tax advice and support business integrations.
• Prepare tax effect accounting calculations, year‑end tax journals, statutory reporting and income tax returns.
• Support compliance obligations including corporate income tax, GST, FBT and tax transparency reporting.
• Liaise with external advisors, auditors and revenue authorities for reviews and audits.
• Maintain and enhance the Tax Management Framework, controls and processes.
• Identify and implement improvements to tax processes, automation and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or related discipline with CPA or CA qualification.
• 4‑5+ years of tax experience in a chartered accounting firm or large corporate environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with tax effect accounting, income tax compliance, FBT and GST (BAS preparation).
• Familiarity with AI tools for process automation (highly desirable).
