Senior Tax Analyst – Indirect Tax (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join a leading Australian corporation on a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity‑cover contract. The role focuses on indirect tax, offering high visibility and the chance to work closely with divisional and group‑level executive leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Manage group‑level taxation obligations, including GST, FBT and exposure to income tax.
• Prepare and lodge monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS) in collaboration with the corporate accounting team.
• Provide advice on significant GST exposure and support medium‑to‑long‑term tax planning.
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits, including liaison with the ATO.
• Implement tax initiatives and process‑improvement measures to drive excellence.

Required profile

• Commerce or accounting degree from a reputable Australian university.
• Completed CA, CPA or Masters of Tax.
• Experience at a Big 4 or mid‑tier chartered firm in Business Services Advisory or Corporate Tax at Senior Analyst/Assistant Manager level, or industry tax role in a large listed company.
• Motivated to develop senior‑level tax expertise and progress toward broader finance‑tax leadership.
