Senior Systems Engineer - Warehouse Automation

About the role

Dematic, a global leader in integrated logistics and material handling, is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer (Systems Integration Engineer) in Belrose. You will oversee the technical baseline of automated warehouse systems and apply systems engineering methods to integrate material handling solutions across engineering disciplines and meet customer operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute systems engineering processes and procedures to ensure successful project outcomes
• Write technical documents, including system and subsystem specifications, to manage the technical baseline of all systems
• Run onsite tests during commissioning of highly automated material handling equipment, coordinating multi-discipline resources
• Deliver quality service to customers and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including customers, project management and engineering
• Promote group standards, innovation, risk identification and safety management

Required profile

• Qualification in Systems, Computer or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Experience commissioning material handling, WMS/WCS, order fulfilment and warehouse automation systems
• Knowledge of systems engineering best practice and multi-disciplinary project management
• Experience designing and delivering complex material handling systems
• Willingness to travel to local and international project sites

Required skills

• Systems engineering and reporting and analytics experience (an advantage)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
