Quality Engineer - Automated Warehousing / DC

About the role

Dematic is seeking a Project & Supplier Quality Engineer to join its team in Belrose, NSW or Acacia Ridge, Queensland. The role supports the delivery of complex automated material handling systems across customer-facing projects, ensuring quality is planned, executed and continuously improved from design and supplier engagement through installation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement Project Qualification Plans with key stakeholders
• Lead problem investigations using root cause analysis, and apply corrective and preventive measures
• Lead project management process audits and monitor timely fulfillment and action implementation
• Lead and support on-site and supplier quality audits, identifying risks early
• Visit customer sites to evaluate processes and collaborate on improvement strategies
• Review quality performance with internal stakeholders and report progress to management
• Mentor teams in quality standards, lean tools and continuous improvement
• Document audits, RCAs, CAPAs and quality metrics

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years' experience in a Quality Engineering or Project Quality role
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality or a related technical discipline
• Certified Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor in ISO9001 QMS standards
• Experience in project-based environments, ideally automated material handling, automation or construction
• Australian work rights: PR or citizenship, and a valid driver's licence
• Willingness to travel to customer sites

Required skills

• Root cause analysis with tools such as Fishbone, 5 Whys, 8D, DMAIC and PDCAF
• Familiarity with poka-yoke error-proofing solutions
• Use of Minitab, Power BI and Microsoft Office
• Supplier and subcontractor quality management experience
