Senior Structural Engineer

About the role

Emergent Group’s Advitech division is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to deliver safe, fit‑for‑purpose solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform hands‑on engineering investigations, analysis and assessments on steel and reinforced‑concrete structures.
• Review, sign‑off and coordinate design documentation prepared by team members.
• Manage project scopes, budgets and delivery schedules while maintaining client relationships.
• Prepare cost estimates, proposals and support business development activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Structural Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) with eligibility for RPEQ/RPEV.
• Strong knowledge of AS4100, AS1170, AS3600 and related standards.

Required skills

• Structural steel and reinforced‑concrete design.
• Proficiency with design software such as SPACEGASS, IDEA StatiCa, Strand 7.
• Site investigation experience including dilapidation surveys.
• Microsoft 365 competency.
