Senior Strategic Account Manager – Large Enterprise

About the role

Proofpoint is seeking a Senior Strategic Account Manager for Large Enterprise to drive growth across Australia and New Zealand’s biggest and most complex enterprise accounts. The role focuses on executive advisory, shaping demand and leading multi‑year transformation engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Engage CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, CDOs and other senior leaders on AI adoption, data governance, security, compliance and operational resilience.
• Lead strategic discussions on AI model governance, data privacy risks and secure operating models.
• Develop and execute multi‑year account plans, translate business challenges into outcome‑driven solution strategies and maintain a high‑quality pipeline.
• Navigate complex stakeholder environments, collaborating with cloud providers, global systems integrators and consulting partners.
• Influence decision‑making at executive and board levels, linking technology investments to risk reduction, compliance and growth.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise sales, consulting or advisory experience in technology, cybersecurity, data or digital transformation.
• Proven success leading large, complex opportunities with multiple stakeholders and extended sales cycles.
• Experience selling to large enterprises in ANZ; financial services background is a plus.
• Strong executive advisory presence, strategic problem‑solving and commercial acumen.
