Senior Specialist Solutions Architect

About the role

As a Specialist Solutions Architect you will be the trusted technical ML & AI expert for Databricks customers and the Field Engineering organization, guiding the design of production‑grade ML & AI applications on the Databricks platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect production‑level ML & AI workloads, including end‑to‑end pipelines, training/inference optimization, and integration with cloud‑native services.
• Serve as a practitioner for enterprise GenAI solutions such as RAG architectures, agentic systems, natural language querying, AI evaluation, and observability.
• Build, scale, and optimize customer AI workloads and apply best‑in‑class MLOps practices.
• Provide advanced technical support to Solution Architects during the technical sale and contribute to the ML SME community.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to represent customer needs and influence the product roadmap.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on industry ML experience as an ML Engineer or AI Engineer.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong communication skills for teaching technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Passion for collaboration, lifelong learning, and delivering business value through ML & AI.
• Preferred: 2+ years of customer‑facing experience in a pre‑sales or post‑sales role.

Required skills

• Production‑grade cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• GenAI techniques, including LLMs, vector databases, fine‑tuning, and AI guardrails.
• Tools such as HuggingFace, Langchain, and OpenAI.
• MLOps practices for model monitoring, drift detection, and deployment.
