Senior Solutions Engineer - Splunk

About the role

Join Cisco's Solution Engineering team in Perth as a Senior Solutions Engineer focused on Splunk. You will act as a technical leader, driving growth and adoption of Splunk solutions with enterprise customers through both onsite and virtual engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate and evangelise Splunk products via onsite sessions, webinars, and field events.
• Lead discovery calls, validate opportunities, and conduct Proof of Value/Concept demonstrations.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers and partners throughout the sales cycle.
• Address complex technical inquiries, provide guidance, and resolve concerns.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve processes and customer success.

Required profile

• 5+ years of enterprise presales experience with a strong technical focus.
• Ability to understand complex application environments and machine data sources (logs, security, network data).
• Experience with observability (APM, RUM, OTEL) and/or security solutions (SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability detection).
• Proven ability to articulate complex technical solutions to customers and partners.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of Splunk solutions.
• Experience with observability and security technologies.
• Familiarity with AI concepts and practical AI adoption.
• Understanding of open‑source technologies, search engines, and query languages.
