Senior Solutions Engineer

About the role

Epicor is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer in Sydney. The role combines presales consulting with technical solution design, advising sales teams and leading technical discussions with C-level clients. It involves about 20% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver presentations and lead sales conversations with C-level clients, in small meetings and large groups, and assist with cost evaluation and pricing solutions.
• Advise team members and sales before customer calls and sales strategy sessions, acting as subject matter expert across multiple solution families.
• Design technical business solutions that fit the customer's infrastructure, business limitations and opportunities, going beyond standard approaches.
• Drive initiatives and projects, working with sales, partners and customers to uncover emerging business opportunities.
• Support the Solution Engineer team through training, knowledge sharing and communication of best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum of 8 years of presales or consulting experience in the ERP industry, or equivalent operational ERP experience.
• Background supporting both direct and channel sales.
• Experience in manufacturing, ideally with additional experience in distribution or finance.
• Documented experience giving customer presentations and demonstrations.
• Preferred background with ERP companies such as SAP, Microsoft, Oracle/Netsuite, Infor, Sage or Syspro, or their VARs.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
