Senior Solution Architect – Enterprise Applications (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑grade solutions across finance, supply chain, retail platforms, HR and corporate applications for a major retail group undergoing an ERP transformation. This 12‑month fixed‑term contract is hybrid, based in Melbourne, and will work across six workstreams to ensure alignment with the Target Architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solutions using SAP S/4HANA, BTP, MDG and SuccessFactors.
• Apply clean‑core SAP principles and drive API‑first, event‑driven integration patterns.
• Present solution designs to the Architecture Review Board and influence senior stakeholders.
• Establish governance for master data, identity, security and integration models.
• Coordinate with multiple vendors to simplify complexity and maintain program scalability.

Required profile

• 10+ years of enterprise solution architecture experience, preferably in retail, supply chain or finance.
• Strong functional depth in SAP ecosystems and large‑scale ERP transformation programmes.
• Proven ability to challenge vendors, drive clean‑core outcomes and communicate clearly with senior leadership.
