Senior Solution Advisor

About the role

The Senior Solution Advisor is a senior individual contributor responsible for translating complex customer requirements into commercially viable managed services solutions. The role is heavily focused on presales activities, including solution design, pricing, costing and proposal development.

Key responsibilities

• Drive hands‑on presales solutioning for complex managed services opportunities from qualification through to proposal submission.
• Translate customer, commercial and operational requirements into clear, supportable solution designs across Datacom’s Managed Operations portfolio.
• Build solution cost models, document assumptions and work through internal commercial and technical approval processes.
• Prepare high‑quality proposal content for RFI, RFT, RFQ and RFP responses, including designs, service descriptions and pricing.
• Coordinate inputs from technical specialists, delivery teams, sales and commercial functions to produce coherent end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in customer workshops and discovery sessions to clarify needs and present recommended approaches.

Required profile

• At least seven years of broad IT experience with substantial solution design or presales exposure for complex managed services.
• Proven success owning presales solution development and proposal deliverables for large technology opportunities.
• Strong commercial and pricing capability, including cost modelling, margin awareness and risk assessment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to translate technical material into persuasive proposal content.

Required skills

• Infrastructure, Networking and Security expertise.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud services.
• Experience with hybrid and public cloud environments, including VMware.
• Understanding of MSP engagements, fixed‑price and time‑and‑materials models.
