Senior Software Engineer - Audience Amplification

About the role

Domain, part of the CoStar Group, is hiring a full-time, permanent Senior Software Engineer for its Audience Amplification Platform team in Sydney. The team sits within the Agent Division and builds and supports Domain's social platform products, enabling high-impact campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Google and other digital channels. The engineer owns the full lifecycle of medium-sized projects, from design through to deployment and fixes, and mentors junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full lifecycle of projects: engineering design, development, test, production, deployment and subsequent fixes and improvements.
• Write, co-write and review clear, tested, production-ready code and documentation.
• Identify and resolve issues quickly, balancing speed, quality and technical debt.
• Approach work with a security lens, looking for vulnerabilities in code and during code reviews.
• Mentor and guide junior team members and collaborate with Product Owners to align solutions with customer and business needs.
• Contribute to the System Health and Tech Debt backlog and work with Lead Engineers and Tech Leads on process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related field.
• Ideally: experience with .NET, React, TypeScript or similar frontend technologies; cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP; microservices and event-driven architectures; API and asynchronous integration patterns (SNS/SQS, Kafka); SQL and NoSQL databases; DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code; mentoring junior engineers; cross-functional teamwork; observability and production support; product analytics and campaign performance data.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in C# / .NET and ASP.NET Core.
• Familiarity with functional and object-oriented programming, cloud design patterns, TDD, BDD and Domain Driven design.
• Familiarity with modern application security practices (OWASP).
