Senior Site Manager – Commercial New Build

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead the delivery of mid‑to large‑scale commercial new‑build projects across Australia. The role involves end‑to‑end site leadership, ensuring safety, quality and schedule performance while maintaining a strong on‑site presence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full end‑to‑end delivery of commercial new‑build projects from early works through handover and defects.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers and on‑site teams to ensure seamless execution.
• Drive program performance, sequencing and critical‑path management.
• Maintain a hands‑on leadership presence, resolving issues and setting standards on site.
• Ensure strict compliance with WHS, quality assurance and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers and Consultants to achieve project outcomes.
• Oversee commissioning, handover processes and client engagement through to completion.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Manager with a Tier 2 head contractor.
• Proven track record delivering commercial new‑build projects through the full lifecycle.
• Strong technical construction knowledge and ability to problem‑solve on site in real time.
• Respected leadership style with excellent communication and integrity.
• Hands‑on approach and ability to lead by example.
• Well‑developed subcontractor and stakeholder relationship management skills.
