Senior Site Manager – Commercial Fit‑Out Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead multiple high‑spec commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects ranging from $5 million to $20 million+. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality standards, and in line with client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions for all staff and subcontractors.
• Maintain daily site diaries and produce regular progress reports.
• Review and manage key project issues, coordinating with statutory bodies for necessary notifications.
• Establish and maintain site compounds, amenities, and organise inspections with clients, authorities and consultants.
• Assist the Project Manager in preparing scopes of work and understanding contract timeframes.
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to final handover.

Required profile

• Trade or building‑related qualification.
• 5–10+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects, including planning and managing onsite staff/subcontractors.
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card and Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Desirable: Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and standards.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
