Senior SEO Specialist

About the role

StudioHawk, a multi-award-winning SEO agency specialising in SEO and AI Search, is hiring a Senior SEO Specialist in Melbourne. You will lead some of the agency's most challenging, high-impact campaigns, owning strategy and execution end to end and helping improve how SEO is done across the board.

Key responsibilities

• Lead high-level SEO campaigns and maximise outcomes on key A/A+ accounts
• Build ROI-focused strategies across on-page, off-page, technical and content, with a data-driven approach
• Run audits and turn findings into priorities, roadmaps and actions
• Manage advanced onsite changes with knowledge of website construction (HTML/CSS and basic PHP)
• Communicate directly with clients by email, call and meeting, and present results clearly
• Mentor juniors, support campaign check-ins and act as second-in-command to the Team Leader when needed
• Create and roll out better workflows, deliver internal projects and occasionally run training sessions for the wider SEO team

Required profile

• Located in Melbourne, Australia
• 2-3 years of hands-on SEO experience, including an SEO Specialist role
• Proven experience using AI to optimise SEO processes and strategies
• Ability to identify technical issues affecting organic performance and drive fixes
• Strong communication skills in writing, on the phone and in meetings
• Openness to visa sponsorship for eligible candidates

Required skills

• Core SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and SEMrush
• WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento
• HTML, CSS and basic PHP
