Senior SEO Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior SEO Specialist to lead Great Southern Bank’s SEO and GEO strategy from our Brisbane or Sydney office. You will drive organic traffic, improve search visibility and support our purpose of helping Australians own their homes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the bank’s SEO and GEO strategy, roadmap and optimisation initiatives.
• Drive organic growth through on‑site and off‑site SEO techniques that increase visibility and engagement.
• Use data, insights and customer‑behaviour trends to identify opportunities that support sales, experience and NPS outcomes.
• Manage and prioritise the SEO backlog to maximise business impact.
• Act as the organisation’s SEO subject‑matter expert, providing strategic advice across teams.
• Partner with Marketing, Content, Design and Delivery teams to embed SEO best practices.
• Monitor, analyse and report on SEO and GEO performance, delivering actionable recommendations.
• Maintain SEO technology stack, including SEMRush, to drive optimisation, automation and performance tracking.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in a dedicated SEO specialist or optimisation role.
• Proven track record of improving organic search performance, traffic and visibility.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors and best practices.
• Experience with GEO and AI‑driven search optimisation trends.
• Advanced experience with SEO and analytics platforms such as SEMRush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable recommendations.
• Experience developing and managing SEO roadmaps and prioritising optimisation opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
