Senior Security Platform Engineer

About the role

Join Zip’s Security and DevSecOps Engineering team to design, build and continuously improve security platforms that protect cloud and endpoint environments. This hands‑on role works closely with platform and DevOps teams to embed security into the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own and operate key security platforms protecting infrastructure and endpoints.
• Design and implement integrations between security tooling and cloud environments.
• Embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines and automate guardrails using Infrastructure as Code and policy‑as‑code.
• Partner with DevOps and platform teams to implement secure cloud configurations and maintain security baselines.
• Support the evolution of Zero Trust capabilities across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cloud security engineering, preferably within AWS.
• Hands‑on experience with modern security tooling such as EDR/XDR, SASE, identity controls or device‑trust models.
• Strong automation mindset with experience building Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
• Ability to develop integrations and automation using APIs and scripting languages (Python or Bash).
• Comfortable working cross‑functionally to embed security into engineering processes.
