Senior Security Analyst (Backfill)

About the role

Accenture’s CyberCX team is seeking a Senior Security Analyst to join its Managed Security Services. You will work independently on enterprise‑level investigations, threat hunting and detection improvement while mentoring junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and perform security investigations across enterprise customer environments using SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk.
• Support incident response activities, including scoping, containment, escalation and customer communication.
• Tune and optimise existing detections to reduce false positives and develop new customer‑specific use cases.
• Drive threat‑hunting initiatives based on threat intelligence, emerging attack techniques and customer concerns.
• Identify gaps in logging and visibility, recommend improvements, and contribute to automation and tooling enhancements.

Required profile

• Strong experience in a SOC, MSSP, MDR or similar security operations environment.
• Proven ability to lead or independently handle complex security investigations.
• Excellent judgement and communication skills for interacting with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring junior analysts and contributing to team knowledge sharing.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk).
• Experience with EDR/XDR solutions (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Cortex XDR).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID and broader cloud security environments.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat‑hunting techniques.
