Senior Registered Architect (NSW)

About the role

AUD Build, the business name of Australian Urban Direct iBuying Pty Ltd, is looking for a senior architect with current NSW registration to lead residential projects from concept design through approvals, documentation and construction. The role is based in Sydney CBD and involves project visits across Greater Sydney; remuneration is discussed based on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of custom homes, duplexes, townhouses and other multi-residential projects across Greater Sydney, from early concept through delivery.
• Prepare and review concept, DA/CDC, CC and construction documentation, coordinating with approval authorities.
• Coordinate structural, services, planning and other consultants, and communicate with clients, authorities and the project team.
• Resolve design and documentation questions during construction while protecting the approved design intent.
• Guide junior team members and maintain consistent drawing, review and quality standards.

Required profile

• Current registration as an architect with the NSW Architects Registration Board.
• At least five years of Sydney or NSW residential architecture experience, with a portfolio of projects you personally led through approvals and detailed documentation.
• Sound working knowledge of NSW planning controls, the NCC, DA/CDC/CC processes and the Design and Building Practitioners framework where applicable.
• Clear written and spoken English; Chinese is welcome but not required.
• Must be based in Sydney and able to attend an in-person interview there; applications from others will not be considered.

Required skills

• Strong Revit documentation skills.
• Consultant coordination and project management.
