Senior QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Handy Finance, formerly OurMoneyMarket, is a fast-growing Australian fintech building digital personal loans, embedded finance and a financial super app. It is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to take ownership of its test automation strategy, frameworks and quality practices across its technology platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own and maintain the overall test automation strategy and frameworks
• Lead automated regression, API, integration and end-to-end testing
• Perform exploratory and manual testing where required
• Work with Developers and Technical Leads to embed quality earlier in the software development lifecycle
• Establish testing standards and quality gates across software releases
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and improve automation coverage
• Lead defect identification, investigation and root-cause analysis
• Monitor testing outcomes and quality metrics and drive continuous improvement of testing tools, processes and practices
• Provide technical leadership and mentor QA engineers

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Senior QA Automation, QA Lead or QA management role
• Experience leading or mentoring QA engineers
• Strong technical leadership, problem-solving and communication skills, with stakeholder management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Required skills

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks
• Web, mobile, API and integration testing, including regression, integration and end-to-end testing
• CI/CD pipelines and Agile software development
• Understanding of APIs, databases and modern software development practices
