Senior Project Manager - Ports & Maritime

About the role

AECOM is looking for a highly experienced Technical Director level candidate for its Ports & Maritime practice in Perth, Australia. The role leads large-scale, technically complex structural engineering projects for ports and marine infrastructure, with a focus on quality, innovation and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver large-scale, structurally complex port and marine projects, prioritising quality, innovation and client satisfaction.
• Provide strategic technical direction across project lifecycles and mentor engineers at all levels, supporting capability development and succession planning.
• Ensure compliance with local and international maritime codes and standards, and manage risk and safety proactively.
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Champion innovation in structural design, improve quality assurance processes and act as a thought leader through industry publications, conference presentations and professional forums.

Required profile

• Extensive experience (ideally more than 15 years) in structural engineering, with significant experience in ports and marine projects under ANZ standards.
• Bachelor of Engineering Technology or similar, with a track record delivering major ports and marine projects.
• Proven project management and design experience with internal and external stakeholders at all seniority levels.
• Advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles, especially in marine environments.
