Senior Project Manager

About the role

Intract Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead civil and infrastructure projects for Defence clients near Whyalla, South Australia. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will own the delivery of complex projects from planning through to completion, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the safe and successful delivery of civil infrastructure projects from commencement to handover.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, cash flow and commercial performance.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor management and contract administration.
• Guide multidisciplinary project teams to achieve objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Drive safety, quality and environmental performance across all activities.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks.
• Prepare regular project reports, forecasts and progress updates for senior leadership.
• Mentor Project Engineers and site personnel.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure or construction projects as a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer.
• Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and contract administration.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Current White Card, valid driver’s licence and National Police Clearance.
