Senior Project Manager

About the role

INTREC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a $25M aged‑care fit‑out project in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. Reporting to the Construction Director, you will oversee the project from pre‑construction through handover, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for the client.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all phases of project delivery from commencement to completion.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets and procurement strategies.
• Engage subcontractors, administer contracts and produce regular project reports.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, quality standards and specifications.
• Drive strong financial performance and monitor cost control.
• Maintain WHS&E compliance and manage project risks.
• Build and sustain positive relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Lead, mentor and develop high‑performing project teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects.
• Relevant qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven commercial and financial management capability.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, buildability and safety requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on team development.
