Senior Project Manager – Fit-Out (Large Commercial Projects)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high‑specification commercial fit‑out and refurbishment projects valued between $5 million and $20 million. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, from initial conversion through to handover, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability while exceeding client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
• Track progress against milestones, manage risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Document and resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement of project management processes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
• 10‑15+ years of experience delivering fit‑out or refurbishment projects for 2nd, 3rd or top‑tier contractors.
• Proven leadership ability with strong team‑building and negotiation skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of local council and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
