Senior Project Manager – Engineering Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering projects for a globally‑recognised consultancy expanding in Australia. Reporting to the Australian Managing Director, you will act as the primary contact for clients and internal teams, ensuring projects meet the highest technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed project scopes and engineering work packages.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across electrical, civil and other specialties.
• Coordinate with international engineering offices to align design and delivery.
• Monitor project progress, budgets and schedules to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact.
• Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of the Australian business.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience delivering engineering projects in the energy or major infrastructure sectors.
• Background in engineering consultancy, owner’s engineering or project development.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary projects and lead engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills.
• Engineering degree, preferably Electrical or Civil Engineering.
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and the local energy market.
