Senior Project Manager - Energy & Chemical Projects

About the role

Wood is looking for an energetic, hands-on and driven Senior Project Manager to join its Melbourne office. The role has direct contractual and execution oversight of a significant onshore energy and chemical supply project in Victoria, covering project execution from FEED through to EPC, including subcontractor management. The ideal candidate leads a team to deliver a safe and efficient outcome.

Key responsibilities

• Build key client stakeholder and Wood team relationships, ensuring trust and open communication
• Own the financial and technical success of the project and the overall contract
• Lead a team in estimating proposals through to delivery of onshore projects
• Manage subcontractor integration and performance
• Work with construction and maintenance teams to execute projects safely and effectively in the office and field
• Develop design and implementation schedules, give ongoing status reports and set clear expectations for the team
• Drive continuous improvement of the Engineering and Procurement / Construction interfaces

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and trust with clients and a record of taking responsibility for customer satisfaction
• Previous experience as a Senior Project Manager leading a multidiscipline team on Oil & Gas and Chemical proposals, FEEDs and EPC projects, onshore
• Experience in chemical plant infrastructure development, brownfield and greenfield, is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in engineering
• Full work rights in Australia
