Senior Project Manager - Development | Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager – Development to strengthen our Infrastructure team in Sydney. The role involves overseeing project development, stakeholder coordination, procurement, approvals, contract and construction management, as well as risk, quality, cost and schedule control.

Key responsibilities

• Project development – identify scope of works, develop business case and secure funding.
• Stakeholder coordination – identify and liaise with all parties to capture issues, inputs and restrictions.
• Procurement coordination – draft contracts, prepare tenders, manage bids and award contracts for consultants and contractors.
• Approvals & planning – work with the project team to obtain necessary approvals.
• Contract management – ensure compliance with contract terms, process payments and manage changes.
• Construction management – control site activities to deliver works safely and compliantly with consultants and safety advisors.
• Risk and issues management – identify project risks early and apply mitigations.
• Quality management – coordinate parties to ensure design and construction meet expected quality.
• Cost and time management – plan and forecast spend and delivery milestones.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in relevant sectors.
• Experience working in building construction (ideal).
• Awareness of Australian building standards and codes.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects from design through close‑out.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi‑functional projects financially and leading a team of project managers.
• Experience in a dynamic, fast‑paced, customer‑centric organisation.
• Experience delivering projects in existing operational environments.
• Experience across disciplines such as aviation, water transport, energy (transmission & renewable), civil infrastructure (earthworks & utilities).
