Senior Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure

About the role

The company is a nationally recognised civil contractor seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead high‑value infrastructure projects ranging from $20M to $50M. This role offers executive‑level responsibility, long‑term pipeline stability, and the opportunity to work on Defence and large‑scale government contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of large‑scale civil projects ($30M+) from initiation through close‑out.
• Manage head contracts and subcontract agreements to achieve commercial outcomes.
• Establish, monitor and report on project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes.
• Lead, mentor and develop multidisciplinary project teams.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply‑chain partners.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ systems and project governance.
• Oversee risk management, variations and performance reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering civil infrastructure projects valued at $30M+.
• Strong background in bulk earthworks.
• Exposure to Defence projects is highly regarded.
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen in contract management, cost control and programme delivery.
• Leadership capability to build high‑performing teams.
• Commitment to safety, quality and environmental standards.
