Senior Project Controls & Cost Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Project Controls & Cost Accountant to join our Brisbane team. You will sit at the centre of major health‑infrastructure projects, providing real‑time commercial intelligence, cost control and decision support to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Establish project controls frameworks across multiple projects.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasting and cash‑flow forecasting.
• Track committed, actual and forecast expenditure.
• Develop project dashboards and executive reporting.
• Monitor project profitability and margin performance.
• Support commercial negotiations and business cases.
• Lead monthly project forecasting reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance and Project Delivery teams.
• Identify commercial risks before they become problems.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in project accounting, project controls or commercial management.
• Background in construction, infrastructure or major projects.
• Ability to operate autonomously in a fast‑moving environment.
• Strong business partnering capabilities.

• Advanced Excel.
• Financial modelling.
