Senior Project Chemist

About the role

Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is seeking an experienced Senior Project Chemist to lead GLP residue studies and support analytical projects for agro‑chemical, veterinary and crop variety clients in Girraween, Western Sydney.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the principal investigator for GLP residue studies, overseeing project planning, execution and reporting.
• Develop and validate extraction methods and optimise instrumentation such as HPLC‑UV/RF, GC‑MS/MS and LC‑MS/MS.
• Review data for acceptability against international criteria, troubleshoot analytical issues and prepare test method protocols and work instructions.
• Liaise with customers on milestones, report results and train chemists, technicians and assistants on new procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc in Chemistry with at least 5 years of analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive ‘can‑do’ attitude and ability to work safely within a team.
• Eligibility to work in Australia with appropriate work rights.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with HPLC‑UV/RF, GC‑MS/MS and LC‑MS/MS instruments.
• Method development, validation and extraction technique expertise.
• Proficiency in MS Word and MS Excel for documentation and data analysis.
