About the role
Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is seeking a Lab Technician for its Girraween laboratory. This full‑time position works the 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM shift and supports accredited analysis of soils, water and related environmental samples.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare soil and water samples according to accredited methods.
- Enter analytical results into spreadsheets and prioritize urgent samples.
- Replenish consumables from warehouse stock.
- Perform calibrations of auto‑pipettes, balances and other equipment on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organised laboratory and store analysed samples appropriately.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Section Supervisor.
Required profile
- Good understanding of chemistry and mathematics (Year 11/12 level).
- Hands‑on, practical work ethic with a desire to learn.
- Eligibility to work in Australia or New Zealand with appropriate visa or work rights.
Required skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to calibrate auto‑pipettes and analytical balances.
- Familiarity with sample preparation techniques for environmental matrices.
